August sunset at Cross Lake. On the other side of that peninsula is the thoroughfare from Mud Lake. Cross Lake is only one of the seven lakes that are called "The Fish River Chain of Lakes" as they are all connected and finally end up flowing into the Fish River before entering the Saint John River that serves as the boundary between the U.S. and Canada in many places.
